AAU District and National Championship Races
Baltimore, MD 11/12/2022 (District) & Knoxville, TN 12/03/2022 (National)

All Cross Country athletes can compete at the District AAU Cross Country Championship to qualify for the Cross Country National AAU Championship. However, athletes can compete at the National AAU Championship without competing at the District one, but this will incur a higher registration fee.

To participate in the Championships with team Olney, follow the steps below:

1. Complete the Olney sign up form(s) – This helps us coordinate communications
   • AAU District Championship Form
   • AAU National Championship Form
2. AAU Membership – REQUIRED
   • You need to have a AAU Sports account. Visit aausports.org to establish an AAU account if you don’t have one.
   • Within your AAU account, sign up your runner(s) for AAU membership (“Youth Athlete Membership” required for each runner; $14 each). (Instructions)
   • Ensure that you enter Olney Cross Country Club’s club code (W38554) for each of your runners.
     • Club code can be added afterwards through Manage Memberships – look for the pencil icon
   • If you wish to run the parent/coach race, the parent who participates must also get his/her own AAU Membership
3. Race Registration
   • You need to have a Coach-O account. If you do not have one, visit Coach-O and select #2. (Instructions here)
     • AAU membership is needed for this step
   • Go to the registration site https://coachoregistration.com/, locate the race(s) and register for each separately
     • District race fee is $20 per runner. Registration opens 9/26
     • Nationals race fee is $40 per runner. Registration opens 11/1
       • Parents & Coaches Nationals race fee is $40 per runner.
4. Hotels (Knoxville TN) – It is recommended to stay at a hotel near the race venue.
   • Do not wait too long- since this is a national event, hotels book quickly.
   • The organization is offering a hotel finding site but you are not required to use it: MMXReservations.com
5. We’ll use teamSNAP for coordination.
   • Please get the app for your phone (apple – android), & sing up for an account.
   • Once you have an account please notify Victor for an invitation to the team.

*Registration deadline for the District race is November 04, 2022
*Registration deadline for the National Championship race is November 28, 2022

*Uniforms: All runners must wear the green singlet (top) of team Olney, and black shorts in both races.

Cross Country Coaches National Youth Championship

To participate in the Championships with team Olney, follow the steps below:

1. Complete the Olney sign up form – This helps us coordinate communications and support you
   • CCNYC Form
2. Visit the CCCNYC website youthcrosscountry.org/ for championship information
3. Email each athlete’s information to the Meet Director Frank Miklavcic at fmiklavcic2@gmail.com
   • Instructions can be found here: Registration
4. Meet Waiver Form to be signed by athlete and parent and turned in at packet pickup
5. Pay $25.00 entry fee per athlete at packet pickup

*Registration deadline is noon Tuesday November 15. Entries will be limited to the first 300 registered athletes in each age/sex group so register early.

*Uniforms: All runners must wear the green singlet (top) of team Olney, and black shorts (of any length).
